MOSA is looking forward to returning to Pipeline & Gas Expo this year to present new welding solutions for joining pipes, fittings, and valves across the three-day event in Piacenza, Italy, between 29th–31st May 2024.
At stand PAD 1. D2-E1, the Italian power generation and welding specialist will be exhibiting amongst its product range the eWELD 150, a new battery-based professional welder developed as a response to the electrification drive and requests for more battery powered products on the market for professional welding applications. The technology helps reduce noise and pollutant emissions and allows operation in unsocial working hours.
“Pipeline welding often requires mobility and lacks a constant power source. That’s why engine-driven welders have been the go-to solution. However, they come with noise and emissions drawbacks. Our new battery-powered welders aim to bridge this gap. They offer the portability and convenience of engine-driven models, but with the environmental benefits and quieter operation of electric welding,” explains David Costadone, director of marketing, business and product development at MOSA.
Also on show will be a prototype of the DSP 300 YSX, an upgraded version of a market-leading MOSA welder. Being demonstrated for the first time at an expo, it is scheduled for release in Q4 2024. “MOSA’s profile as the engine-driven welder specialist is increasing,” Costadone says. “It is a niche market which we are finding ourselves as the reference within, with consistent, reliable, and proven technology.”
New industry connections
MOSA is returning to Pipeline & Gas Expo after the successful edition in 2022, which welcomed 200 exhibitors and 5,000 visitors across 7,000 m2 of indoor space in Piacenza.
“We saw excellent results at Pipeline & Gas Expo 2022. There aren’t many regular expos specific to our sector, so we appreciate Pipeline & Gas Expo’s appearance on the calendar every two years,” Costadone says. “The size and location of the event is ideal for MOSA. It’s very convenient, logistically, with the feasibility to attend and provides the opportunity for people in the business to exchange ideas. It’s simultaneously a chance to learn and influence.”
Pipeline & Gas Expo is the only European exhibition fully dedicated to the mid-stream sector, power generation, and the gas, oil, and water distribution networks. Established in 2020, Pipeline & Gas Expo is a specialised platform for companies in pipeline construction and maintenance, connecting them with suppliers of equipment and services and has become a vital hub for industry updates for both public and private companies.
“Returning in 2024, we’re excited about demonstrating more high performance products, to observe reception and gather feedback from key industry figures and customers, not just based in Italy but from key territories in Europe and Africa,” Costadone says. “Though we are well-established in Italy for our generators and engine-driven welders, Pipeline & Gas Expo promotes us and our products to a wider geographical market. We welcome all visitors to our stand in Piacenza to see our products up close and talk to our experts about how we can we assist with all forms of welding applications.”
