Strata To Double Its Workforce as Part of International Expansion Plan

October 2023

Dublin-based digital construction services and project controls services provider, Strata, has announced that it will double its workforce, creating up to 40 additional jobs over the next three years.

The majority of the new jobs will be based in Ireland and are spread across construction scheduling and planning management, 4D/5D digital services, BIM management, sustainability, data analytics, and forensic delay analysis.

Founded in 2016 by Enda Grimes, Strata has grown to serve over 60 clients in 15 countries, with significant growth delivered in the Life Sciences, Data Centre, Energy and Infrastructure sectors.  In addition to its headquarters in Ireland, the company also operates offices in the United Kingdom and Brazil.

The company partners with global clients on complex and challenging construction projects, including over twenty-five mission critical constructs.

Given the complexity of large construction projects, delays and project overruns are a frequent and costly occurrence. Strata saw a gap in the market for an independent specialist construction planning service, delivered by engineers with practical construction knowledge as well as high proficiency in the specialist scheduling techniques. When founded, Strata initially focused on construction project planning and control services. While this service remains at the core of their offering today, the company has since expanded its services to include Virtual Design and Construction services, providing tailored, high-quality 3D, 4D and 5D animations; Construction data analytics, analyzing and interpreting data to enhance project outcomes and; forensic delay analysis, encompassing comprehensive research, substantiation, and negotiation of time-related claims.

Kevin Sherry, Executive Director, Enterprise Ireland said: “Enterprise Ireland’s mission is to partner with innovative Irish businesses with the drive and ambition to scale internationally. Strata is an Irish company that continues to play an important role in driving the construction sector forward on the digital transformation journey. Today’s announcement of further job growth is significant, and we welcome the steps the company is taking to further enhance the use of innovation and digital technologies within the sector to drive a low-carbon, resource-efficient economy of the future.  Enterprise Ireland is delighted to support the company, helping them to grow further and expand their reach, strengthening their customer base internationally.”

Regarding today’s announcement, CEO Enda Grimes stated “We are delighted to share the details of our growth ambition and announce these new roles. We are experiencing high growth, which is increasing demand across all of our services. The construction sector is undergoing a significant transformation, embracing innovative technology and environmental responsibility. Strata is thrilled to be part of this journey and our aim is to accelerate our contribution to the efficient and environmentally conscious delivery of large construction projects.”
