Five largest construction projects initiated in France in Q3 2021

  1. ZAC Campus Grand Parc Mixed-Use Development – $7,000m

The project involves the construction of the ZAC Campus Grand Parc mixed-use development project on a 80ha of land in Villejuif, located in the Ile-de-France region, France.

Construction work started in Q3 2021 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2027.

In the fourth quarter of 2011, the Institute Gustave Roussy, Conférence Territoriale de la Vallée Scientifique de la Bièvre (VSB), Société du Grand Paris (SGP), l’Etat, l’Etablissement Public Foncier d’Ile de France (EPFIF), and the Conseil Départemental du Val de Marne appointed Sadev 94 as the developer of the ZAC.

The project involves the construction of two mixed-use building towers in Paris La Défense, in the district of Michelet, Île-de-France region, France.

Construction work commenced in Q3 2021 and is expected to finish in Q2 2025.

The purpose of the project is to meet the growing demand for office space and leisure facilities in the region.

  1. La Tronche Athanor Incineration Plant – $226m

The project involves the construction of a new incineration plant and a sorting center at the site of Athanor in La Tronche Commune of the Department of Isere, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France.

Construction work commenced in Q3 2021 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2024.

The project aims to reduce waste and replace the old incineration plant built in 1972.

  1. Clermont Ferrand Gabriel Montpied Stadium Expansion – $125m

The project involves the expansion of a stadium in Clermont Ferrand, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, France.

Construction work started in Q3 2021 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2025.

It aims to expand the existing Gabriel Montpied Stadium and to increase the current capacity of 11,980 spectators.
