The Pile Driving Analyzer® (PDA) from Pile Dynamics, Inc. is the most widely employed system for Dynamic Load Testing and Pile Driving monitoring in the world. High strain dynamic load tests quickly and economically assess the capacity of several piles in a single day. PDA tests are performed during driving on pilot or production piles, taking advantage of the high strain impact provided by the driving hammer. This data can be analyzed to determine the capacity of a pile, shaft integrity, driving stresses, and hammer energy when monitoring installation.
The PDA offers flexibility in pile testing, with 16 universal channels and wireless capabilities using smart sensors, and comes complete with CAPWPA® and GRLWEAP Software.
The Pile Driving Analyzer has traditionally been the primary driven pile dynamic testing system, however, PDI has recently developed PDA software add-ons to expand the traditional capabilities, such as:
- DLT Software – multiple configurations of force measurement for drilled shafts
- SPT Software – energy transferred to SPT rods
- SiteLink® Technology – remote PDA data testing capabilities for the engineer away from the jobsite
The PDA conforms to ASTM D4945, along with many other codes and specifications.
