JLG Introduces ES4046 Electric Scissor Lift to European Market

June 2024

JLG has launched its latest ES4046 electric scissor lift model in the European market. This addition to JLG’s ES series of slab scissor lifts, initially introduced in February, is now available across Europe.

The ES4046 is tailored for both indoor and outdoor use, emphasizing lightweight construction and exceptional maneuverability with a zero turning circle. It boasts over a 40% increase in duty cycles compared to its hydraulic drive predecessor, enabling operators to prolong their work time on a single charge.

According to JLG, the ES4046 stands out as the tallest scissor lift in the ES series with an indoor platform height of 11.9m (8.75m outdoors) while maintaining the lowest gross weight in its class. Indoors, it accommodates up to three workers, the highest occupancy among ES series models.

A notable feature of the ES4046 is its utilization of maintenance-free AC drive motors, which enhance efficiency, reduce noise, and allow for a 50% higher stowed speed compared to previous models of similar size by JLG. Furthermore, the integration of parts commonality, reduced hoses and fittings, and a single lift cylinder contribute to lowered maintenance time and costs.

The ES4046 is compatible with JLG ClearSky Smart Fleet, a two-way fleet management and communication platform for simplified tracking. Optional enhancements include the CleanGuard leak containment system for delicate flooring, a 900-watt inverter for tool charging, and the SkySense enhanced detection system aimed at enhancing worker and property safety.

Nicola Sacchet, EMEAI Product Manager for Boom, Scissor and Vertical Products, highlighted, “Specifically designed to meet the demands of the future, the ES4046 is built with new power options and advanced technologies in mind. This scissor lift will evolve as operator needs change, expanding capabilities while maintaining high levels of productivity, efficiency, and safety.”
