JCB India has introduced the NXT 215 LC Fuel Master, a new excavator designed to reduce fuel consumption by 14% compared to its predecessor. Specifically engineered for the demanding conditions of Indian operations, this machine promises to lower operating costs and improve profitability for customers. This efficiency is driven by JCB’s Intelliflow Hydraulics technology, which optimizes hydraulic performance to conserve fuel. Operators can track fuel consumption in real time through the machine’s onboard interface and JCB’s LiveLink remote monitoring system. The improvements in fuel efficiency could save users up to Rs. 2.90 lakhs annually. Additionally, an auto engine long idle stop feature reduces fuel wastage during prolonged idling periods.
Deepak Shetty, CEO and Managing Director of JCB India, emphasized the importance of this machine in helping customers enhance profitability. The 14% fuel reduction, coupled with a 5% productivity increase, allows businesses to remain competitive in a cost-sensitive market. The NXT 215 LC also features a Power Boost function for heavy-duty tasks, making it ideal for demanding applications such as rock breaker work.
In addition to its performance features, the excavator enhances operator comfort with a quieter engine compartment, which helps reduce fatigue. LED lighting has been added to improve visibility and durability in work areas, further boosting efficiency.
Shetty noted that this new model supports India’s efforts to reduce fossil fuel consumption, aligning with government priorities to improve the economy and the environment. JCB India, which manufactures a wide range of excavators from 1 to 38 tonnes, has produced over 45,000 tracked excavators. These machines play a crucial role in major infrastructure projects, contributing to the country’s rapid development as a global economic power.
