NEOM, the futuristic sustainable city in northwest Saudi Arabia, has announced a partnership with Asas Al-Mohileb to establish a SAR 700 million ready-mix concrete facility. This factory will play a key role in supporting the construction of THE LINE, a linear city currently under development within NEOM. Asas Al-Mohileb, a prominent Saudi Arabian construction company, is spearheading the development and operation of the batching plant complex. Their experience in the construction sector will be essential in ensuring efficient production and sustainability. The facility will also incorporate advanced technologies, such as carbon capture and utilization (CCU), to support Saudi Arabia’s goals for sustainable development under Vision 2030.
Nadhmi Al-Nasr, CEO of NEOM, highlighted that this partnership marks a significant milestone in NEOM’s progress and showcases the strength of Saudi Arabia’s construction industry. He emphasized the importance of local partnerships in delivering such large-scale projects, and praised the contribution of local contractors to NEOM’s development.
